As a Catholic altar boy also attending Lutheran school, Jesse tried desperately to believe in Christianity, especially since it offered the competitive benefits package of not burning in Hell forever. However studying the Bible and the faith so thoroughly led him to ask questions, and too often the answers he got sucked or didn’t really make any damn sense.

As an adult, Jesse entered his “weird Bible phase,” where he’s gotten really into biblical scholarship, offering him a new lens for these old ass texts to show the literature, history, humanity, and—honestly—dope shit that lies within.

In this “playfully vulgar” show Jesse shares the questions that anguished him as a kid and the answers he finally found as an adult, as he offer an explicit look at Hell and sh*t.

Outside of nerdy Bible shit, Jesse has had a career in nonprofit communications, working in conservation, labor advocacy, and civil rights. Outside of nerdy work shit, Jesse loves kicking it with his dope wife, Anna, and his dipshit dog, Nola.
